Do Angels Have Wings?

Thanks for all who are following my series on Angels.

I’m getting quite a few comments on Angels and wings. Do they have wings? Do only certain kinds of Angels have wings? Did humans create the theory that Angels have wings?

Wings are often associated with Angels for two main reasons. These are just two reasons because we have a limited scope on what we know of them.

1) They help our brain wrap around the fact that angels come and go between our physical world and the spiritual realm. It’s just a mode of transportation.

2) We see Angels on paintings and other forms of art and they always have wings. It’s a way to differentiate between humans and spiritual beings like Angels. If we had a painting of Angels and humans next to one another it would be difficult to tell the difference between the two unless they were apart of the Super Angels hierarchy.

I hope this helps to clear up some questions you may have. Don’t get so wrapped up in denying that Angels have wings that you miss God’s purpose for them.
